so iwas randomly surfing the net and discovered that alibaba opened an aussie site as well as an aliexpress site. been browsing it all day and realised that theyve seriously tightened up their credibility with idendical to ebay site template, rating system and buyer feedback. most importantly they use escrow and buyer protection
anyway, aliexpress is essential a retail storefront for the sellers to pimpwares to non wholesale buyers. but being chinese they are very flexible lol
some stuff i found are:
http://www.aliexpress.com/store/1001...nda-CIVIC.html gullwing door hinges (they have heaps of versions and this seller has good feedback, even remote controlled ones)
i found a bunch of apexi pods for $17
but most importantly is the amount of replica rims there are!
http://www.aliexpress.com/store/1001...Wheel-Rim.html <--$78 a rim wtf
good feedback too

i was thinking of getting these custom made for our car, but i dont know the specs of rim sizes

yes i noe it says porsche but you can rebadge
this seller has a HUGE range btw

enkeis wow
its not the act of being screwed that im worried about, but the quality of these rims. aluminium machined. thas the same as rotas right

Unless you're looking for the top end stuff (ie: $400-500 per wheel)... ALL the entry to mid range stuff are made in China.
Globalization's a bitch ain't it.
PS: look at those light wheel nuts $26 a set

Knocking off whom? It's a piece of painted metal. It's probably out of the same factory as your lower end Enkei's and Sparco's (who also have the baulk of their produces made in china, mind you)
PS: Switchblade keys anyone?

My iPhone's made in China, doesn't mean I can go on alibaba and buy a iPhone and expect it to be of equal quality just because the original came from China. I buy heaps of cheap Chinese copies of everything, from simple iPhone cases to electronics etc. but when safety comes into play I won't be taking that risk.

Though, I'm pretty noob at this car stuff so don't mind me. I'd still be a bit wary though.
