    Even more so I reckon, since they had to get rid of the runout stock before they introduce the facelift.

    Base model manual Euro is now under $30k base price..... sign of the times.
    Considering the price of (Premium) petrol... and the fact CU2 hits 10L/100k or more in city driving....

    For those interested we did not reach the negotiation stage because there were a few unexpected developments. The price of the vehicle on Tuesday did not further reduce following Friday's announcement by Honda and I expected that it would have, in fact the price increased by a few dollars to meet the new Australian recommended retail so the original reduction in price due to it being a 2010 build was gone. There may be further developments tomorrow and I'll post the outcome. I do not wish to identify the dealer.

    I've been looking at CL9's, but have seen a few CU9's that aren't that much more.

    Two cars I'm looking at are both 2008 model, ~60,000 km's and manual. One base model, one luxury. What do you think is a reasonable price? They are advertised for $24k and $25k respectively. I was thinking $20k and $22k respectively. Thoughts?

    I've had a bit of a search around and apart from the pinging, is there much to look out for?

    I assume both the 2008 models are CL9 s.
    Check them out,they are basically bullet proof,and let us know what your thoughts are...

    CU9 - fairly sharply priced. I went and drove them yesterday, quite a lot nicer as a cruiser than the CL9 I thought. Manual gearbox was actually brilliant (I didn't have high expectations).

    You mean CU2 and CL9 right?

    Definitely get the CU2 if there's only a 1k difference between the two.

    Sorry mate, yep - CU2! Not some CU2 / CL9 hybrid

    Both are CU2. I was looking at CL9's in the high teen's / low 20's, but it seems the CU2's are now mid 20's and they seem a bit better value. I like the Luxury version but I HATED the poor quality leather on the CL9 - all of those I looked at were worn quite badly, but the CU2 leather seems to hold up a lot better.

    22K for a Lux is good. Get that over the base model, manual is quite hard to find in the luxury variant as well.

    Usually when cars are selling below Red Book Value it is for a reason, ask yourself if there is a serious accident history or flood damage. When something sounds too good to be true it usually is.

    Of course - but when buying from a dealer if they have the car on the lot for a while they are usually keen to move it. I understand their stock is leased so there is a cost involved in it sitting there. None the less I think my lowball offer might be a bit too low...

    I got my CU2 for a similar price, lady wanted a German car instead and let it go for less than she owed on it.
