honda civic eg 1991 dual carby running like crap

hey guys got myself a car im restoring then selling later on.

car seems to not want to idle and run very well.
wont start unless u flat stick it.
wont rev past 5000 rpm ish.
when i hold the chock off it revs more freely but still shit.
its running really rich and i dont know much about carbys and there's so many vacuum lines on the thing im scared to take the intake off and give it a good clean.

atm so far ive taken the two floats off and cleaned them and made sure there moving up and down freely and ive sprayed it with carby clearner.

when i bought the car they told me the chock needed replacing.

anyone here had a similar problem.

engine is d15b4 duel cv carbys.

    thanks in advance Alessio

Did you check the sparks if its working on all cylinders? Timing could be a bit out
Take the black lid in the back of the dual carbie(holding with 4 clips) and give it a clean.
also check if there is vaccum leak.
Also that's seems that the Carbie need rebuild

hey mate thanks for the post.
ive checked for spark and ive set the timing.
ive cleaned the carbys and changed the air filter.
ive checked all the vacuum lines

could it be that nasty black box full of vacuum lines thats causing the problem i noticed theres a map sensor in there

You have two vacuum hose connected to the Dizzy, check these 2 hoses. Do not quote me on this, But i reckon the black box is the auto choke. Take the air filter out and try with out it. Check all vacum lines, did you try to reset ecu.
You have nothing to clean inside that black box.
