Installing s2000 cluster into eg
Hey Guys
I just cant stand my eg cluster and was wondering if anyone knows how to install an s2000 cluster into a eg5 , if so ill pay you to do soo?
Thankyou.

u will need a harness if ur wanting a quick an clean job, other wise u will need to splice the eg cluster harness an vice versa with the s2k harness if im not mistaken...... You can do it your self, just like you would do with installing a head unit, as long as u have the pin out diagram, i dont see why u cant do it as a diy
Heres the S2k pin out http://www.marklamond.co.uk/products...ll/install.htm
Though im not to sure if the adm cluster differs from other region, but i doubt it

Hey man thanks for ur reply, what harness did u mean when u said quick and clean job, only because im not good at all witj auto electricals, thanks

theres now a conversion harness, prbs shoulda mentioned it lol, there was one for sale awhile back, not sure if its still up or not, but as said, the harness is just plug an play an ur ready to go, no need to splice an dice the wires
some more digging up, http://www.honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=1570344
i was contemplating on doin the same to my car in the near future, but seeming as it wont rev to 9k will jus look wierd lol

You will need an EG harness (which you have) and you will need an S2000 cluster with the plugs in the back.
Using Mark Lamond's schematics (or the info mugen_ctr posted) you have to match up the functions on the EG harness to the functions on the S2000 harness, then solder them together and insulate everything.
Given that you say you are not up to speed on auto electrics, it would be better if you got somebody like an auto electrician to do it (one that's sympathetic as I would assume quite a few wouldn't touch it due to the time it would take and the possibility of something going wrong.
Your other main task would be to manufacture a surround to fit the S2000 cluster.
Here's one in an EK
Here's one in a CRX:
And in an EG:

Still here. Still kickin'

AP1 cluster and AP2 clusters are different from what ive been told, but as aust never got the ap2, its safe to assume all clusters from wrecked s2k, are the same ap1 cluster
Pricing varies, from 400 - 700, last time i checked, was around $450
-
we never got the AP2?? really?
- -
just read up on it - we got the cosmetics for the AP2 but not the ACTUAL AP2 lol
there are AP2 clusters on ebay for $230inc postage

wiring is not hard at all. for me, the biggest obstacle was the bracket.

cheap as dirt! why do ppl over charge here
AP2 came with 2.2 as well, which means more torque an slight power, but it doesnt rev as hard which is what the s2k is typically known for, afaik, the f22c was designed to help make the s2k keep up with bmw z4 as such, as the f20c lacked to much torque down low
