Tripitaka: NSX together with Toyota's MR2, MGF and many other sport cars are mid-engine cars (Compared with 911's rear engine), which means Engine is positioned behind the cabin but in front of rear wheel axel. The above mentioned 3 mid-enginers managed to make rooms behind engine for luggage. I think its due to these 3 have longer rear overhang.
AKA-NSX: I reckon Black hood goes well with red. The Roof and A,C pillars are black anyway, so black and red combo isn't bad at all.
Lindsey Fox's Red Enzo has yellow roof on it. (same colour combo as his trucks)
