    ek4 stereo wiring diagram

    what up. i just bought an alpine iDA-x305S from the US the wiring is different to the australian version so can anybody direct me or link me a ek4 stereo wiring diagram or something similar that might help me install this beast. cheers

    not sure if the wiring diagram for ek4 is the same as ej8 but this is the one i used for my car http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/...tail/1050.html

    dont see why it wouldnt be the same though

    If you bought it brand new, it should come with a wiring diagram (for the headunit)... It doesn't matter where you get the unit from, as your Australian Delivered EK4 will still have the same wiring schematic.

    EDIT: Oh, you're trying to follow a DIY from a US site right? lol my bad.

    you'll have to get one of those radio frequency things that change US frequencies to AUS frequencies. other wise you wont be able to listen to the radio

    My Alpine CDA-9847 head unit has a tuner setting selection that can change from "Area 1" (North America) to "Area 2" (AUS/non-NA) frequencies. Shouldnt be a problem for op if his has the same setting option.
