That's why heat-soak is bog off the line - when the car is stationary. Once moving performance should be pretty similar.

yeah its a hot day today and the car didn't feel that good off the line. Is there any way to get a little more sound from the filter without having the heat-soak problem? - besides sticking the filter all the way behind the bumper

    Read the below link bro.

If you just want the sound purely, just block the resonator in the airbox. Gives it a nice grunt sound. Can also drop a K&N filter in (there's ones for s2000's), that also helps a little. Have to buy one though of course.

I think I've got a K&N filter (S2000 specific) sitting around if anyone's interested. Near new.

I have a K&N, they make a big difference! Yours should sell easily. I never knew there was a resonator in there, I'm blocking that for sure! cheers

How big are your holes Engine09?
I was thinking the same at one stage, but putting a big of a scope on the bottom of the air box. But after though I came to the concluding it would **** up the pulse.

Seriously just get a cai from the us... Mine came in a little over a week and there is no chance of hot air touching that thing... Throttle response hasn't suffered and performance has increased. You can't go wrong !

If you guys want really good sound and a bit of power/response, get the K&N FIPK from the US. for $250 you just can't go wrong, it's fantastic.

Also K&N drop ins are about $80 last I checked.. I have one sitting around too, but it's in my stock airbox which is being retained just in case I ever need it lol

With my CAI and K&N filter (picture on first page), I am going to make a mechanism, probably with solenoids, that can open and close a big hole in the airbox with the flick of a switch. That way, if I want the sound and its not a very hot day, I flick the switch (probably under the steering wheel) and bang, its as if I took the lid off. Anyone tried this before?

Would probably work but seems like a lot of effort to go through for a whole lot of show without the go
