EG tacho bouncing and shuddering launch

    Hey guys,

Did a bit of searching but didn't find exactly what i was looking for so putting this in the noob forum to avoid the haters.

I checked out a car the other day and discovered a few problems. One was the car launches feeling like its gonna stall (someone else drove it so it's not that i can't drive stick). Also the tacho needle bounces up and down when accelerating so you can't see accurately what revs you're at (say you're at 3k rpm, the needle will oscillate between 2k and 4k). Seller says the CSC needs a rebleed and that it'll fix both the shuddering problem and tacho. My mechanic on the other hand said the flywheel needs machining but seller said thats not the case.

In addition, the car was not driven for 3 months and low on fluids.

The seller is willing to take $600 off the price.
Just wanting to get your opinions on what is wrong and how to fix it and if it will be expensive. I plan to replace all fluids anyway

Not sure if any more information is needed to diagnose the problem. The car is EFI if that matters

    Cheers

Engine accels smooth throughout the rev range, just the tacho spastic. Maybe the wires or dizzy? and should i be feeling or hearing a vtec kick on the d16y8?

Sounds like it needs a distributor
Also, there will be no vtec kick on a d16y8
