OEM midpipe with muffler or 2.5 without muffler?

just wanna ask what is better . atm ive got headers and hiflow cat on my da however the midpipe is stock with a xforce muffler. the sound is a deep tone but when i drive the car i find it a bit loud. I was wondering if sticking with a 2.5 in custom piping without the muffler would be better than what ive got performance and sound wise. what do you guys think?

because you're complaining about sound, i think you should use oem header, oem catback and oem muffler.
    and how is this technical?

What kind of Xforce is it?
If its a cannon then thats why it becomes loud.
You could put a bigger mid muffler in to reduce the sound without ruining the flow too much.

Otherwise a more substantial rear muffler like a Magnaflow or TwinLoop style

yeah i reckon its a cannon. i want to put a 2.5 in midpipe with a resonator and take the cannon off. and prob just put an muffler tip. I think its gonna give me more of a power gain as well

    I wouldnt advise that.
Its going to sound way too loud and harsh with that set up you mention. You need an actual muffler not just a resonator otherwise too loud.
Besides you already complained its a bit loud, why would you make it worse

bigger piping will make it louder. muffler with straight through design will be loud too.
most likely drone while in cruising rpm range.

get a twin loop design muffler, the drone will be out of cruising rpm range.

also make sure that muffler packing is stainless steel, not fibreglass.
with fibreglass packing, it'll get louder after a while.

i have a twinloop and it drones.
but it only drones at about 4-5000rpm. not at 2-3000rpm.

so its gonna be louder if i replace the midpipe with bigger ones and retain the cannons yeah?
