Do wheels need to be rebalanced after painting?

    Hi Guys,

I'm almost finished with a DIY wheel painting project and I was wonder if I have to get my wheels rebalanced after painting?

15" Jazz OEM alloys off a VTi

    I've put on

    2 coats prime
    3 coats base black
    3 coats clear

Did not take off any of the wheel weights on the wheels just kinda painted over them as they were on the inside kinda stuck on and one on the rear rim of the wheel.

shouldnt matter, changed in weight would be so small anyway

but if it would give you peace of mind go get it re-balanced again

Well i'm contemplating it but dont want to waste the money if its not really important. What happens if they are slightly off balance?

no need for re-balance! only re-balance wheels when you change tires or repairing buckled wheel!

    and as always, welcome abourd!!

we actually fit tyres, and even a small thing like balancing your wheels without an air valve cap and then putting one on later can effect your balance. The smallest weight we use is 100g

when you paint a wheel the coats arent completely even. If it was me i personally wouldnt bother but just letting you know any way
