TODA B16A/B18C springs are not painted (at all)
The yellow painted springs are OEM ITR/CTR Intake springs / & the blue painted springs are OEM ITR/CTR exhaust springs.
These are fine to go with the CTR/ITR cams you have.
My guess is you have the leftovers from a B-Series cam swap, & the springs are in the Toda box.

Also, there is no such thing as a B-Series Toda Ti retainers,
This is a myth originating from less than well informed magazine journalists etc,

So use Supertech, Portflow or SK2

    Cheers

Great answer Adrian, can't rep yet though sorry.

Novak, I'm using Supertech springs/retainers. Good price/quality man, I recommend them!

I was talking about the comparison between B16A and B16B because hitoriko has a JDM B16A swapped into his ED9 bro.

Yeah i was looking on ebay and they are a pretty good price too! i might just get a kit and sell the ITR springs and go from there
just ordered some Supertech Valve Stem Seals so i may aswell get the retainers, guides and springs to match!

Unsure mate, they are titanium but were a used item sold to me cheaply by my engine builder. Valves were also used. Springs new and measured to spec. Cams all new.

Personally I have no problem using second-hand internals. So long as everything is checked beforehand for condition (which I'm sure hitoriko will do!) then it's NP.

agreed - i had a sprinter with a 4age, i sourced all the parts 2nd hand and aslong as you check everything for damage etc.. your fine.

the springs and and retainers are $300 on ebay atm so i might just sell of my type R springs and get some brand new ones
