Actually, your injectors don't inject fuel into the cylinder. It injects into the throttle body area, where it mixes and then a mixture enters the cylinder. The engines that inject fuel into the cylinder are the direct injection engines such as Alfa's JTS and Lexus' new engines.

Injectors , in honda terms anyway "inject" right before the inlet valve opening - not in the throttle body area.
