I heard this should not be happening in new engines. As it is a sign of air leaking out of the pistons during combustion meaning the piston seals are not tight and i'm not getting 100% combustion.
You are NOT supposed to open the oil filler cap while the engine is running. Doing so will result in oil splashing and hot air rushing out. That is not how you measure if you are getting proper sealing. If you want to measure it, you do a compression test.

Aaronng Yeah I agree that is not the proper way to test for blowby. And the air coming out when the cap is off is not smoky so I know the pistons are good (cars only 3 months old). I was just surprised at the amount of air coming out of the new engine and I wanted to see if other accord euro owners have a lot of air coming out of the cap when it is opened when the engine is running. That is not going to damage the engine~
