Enguiry about a brand new Accord Euro my12 with blowby.

Has anyone that has a new Accord Euro tried opening the oil filler cap while the engine is running and warm ? My car was bought brand new 3 months ago and so far has done 5000k's. When my car is running and warm and I open the engine oil filler cap it has a lot of blow by. It has air pulsating out of the hole quite a lot, with fine splashes of oil spitting out of the hole. I heard this should not be happening in new engines. As it is a sign of air leaking out of the pistons during combustion meaning the piston seals are not tight and i'm not getting 100% combustion.

Can anyone with a new accord euro, or relatively new (1 to 3 yrs old) try this for me ? I wanna know whether this blowby effect is a fault in my car or its just normal and all accord euros do it.

    Thank you for your help.

You are NOT supposed to open the oil filler cap while the engine is running. Doing so will result in oil splashing and hot air rushing out. That is not how you measure if you are getting proper sealing. If you want to measure it, you do a compression test.

Aaronng Yeah I agree that is not the proper way to test for blowby. And the air coming out when the cap is off is not smoky so I know the pistons are good (cars only 3 months old). I was just surprised at the amount of air coming out of the new engine and I wanted to see if other accord euro owners have a lot of air coming out of the cap when it is opened when the engine is running. That is not going to damage the engine~
