After some 225/50/17. What brands and prices do you have? I've noticed there isn't much of a choice in this size? What's the difference in profile between a 50 and a 45? Much noticeable difference aesthetically? Don't wanna get them if they're much thinner than 50s. Thanks for the help!

Right now i have Michelin $180 or Yokohama $160 in stock. These are both comfort tyres(yokohama would be the higher perforer: DNA MAP-i, AKA ES331)
going down to a 45 isnt recommended if 50 is standard, rolling diameter reduces by 23mm putting the speedo out/ defect/ insurance problem.
it is noticably thinner than a 50, 45 gets into the low profile range so the ride will also be affected.
let me know what car they were for I may have some other options for you.

Hi Ali, cheers for the quick reply. The tyres would be for a Accord Euro. How much extra you charge for fitting/balancing etc?
No problem, prices include fitting and balancing.
Yea the cl7 accord uses the 45, for the later model would definately stick with the 225 50 17 for the rolling diameter.
If you wanted something cheaper, I have Yokohama in 205 55 17, these are the exact same rolling diameter as the 225 50 17, I have yokohama, continental and Bridgestones i can do for under $100 a tyre including the fitting and balancing.

Yeah its for the current model euro. What's the difference between the two tyres? The 225 and the 205? Are they going to essentially look/fit the same? If there's no obvious differences it makes sense to get the cheaper ones? And which of those (for the 205) brands do you recommend?
ones wider ones higher, both have the same rolling diameter. 95% of people wont even know the difference between the two. If you have a habit of hugging gutters the 225/50 are better, if you're constantly going over potholes the 205/55 will be better...
Just double check the load rating as the 205/55 are a 91 load whereas the 225 are 93/94. (both will work but may be an issue for insurance).
Either the Conti or Yokohama would be my 1st choice.
