integra crank but cannot hear fuel pump?

hi there, my teg recently cut out intermitted, the car only crank and not start anymore this morning.

the teg was cut out when i am driving 60km/h with no warn light
the dash do not light up when i turn the key to ign on.
cannot hear any pump noise like before when i turn the key to ign on now.

i just wonder is it the fuel pump relay or any other possible?
as i checked on internet said "try 3 times to turn the key to ign on, if you cannot hear any noise, it most likely a fuel pump relay.

so sad my teg sitting on the road now

Samething happend to me and it was the ignition coil. Can be bought from repco, Supercheap or autobarn for about $60. Type on google for DIY ignition coil integra. Very easy to replace

You need to see if you have both spark and fuel first then go from there.

Check for spark by removing a lead and inserting a screwdriver into the lead, sit the screwdriver on one of the rocker cover bolts and crank it. you should see a spark jumping from the screwdriver to the bolt.

To check for fuel pump not working, get some carby clean and spray it thru the throttle body while cranking the car. if it starts up, keep spraying it for 10 sec then stop spraying to see if it cuts out. if it does, chances are the fuel pump has gone.

    Hope that helps

your ignition switch is faulty then
    http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthr...ch-Replacement

double check you do not have an aftermarket alarm that is bypassing the ignition before you go replacing the switch

I had a problem with my da9 integra doing this exact thing cutting out all of a sudden, randomly(usually at an intersection....) cranking without firing, then it would restart 5mins later it turned out to be 2 causes:

First one the car would cut out and the check engine light would come on, car would crank but would not fire, checked the ecu and it threw an ignitor code, so i replaced the igniter and the coil. The car was fine for a few hundred k's

The second cause i realised that there was no power to the dash when turning the ignition on, also was no power to the ecu, no main relay click. I had already checked the main relay's solder joints and they were fine but had a spair one in the car, i changed it and still nothing. This turned out to be the ignition switch which is a common fault on honda's (wish i had known this, it cost me a $330 tow back to wollongong)

Hope this helps anyone with a intermittant no start/ cut out issue. and hopefully this is the last of mine.
