those pistons would have cost quite a bit.

i'd ask for clearance & runout figures.
I'd even go as far as to ask for sleeve micron depth of the honing process.

There are a great many things needing specific clearance when building a motor.
If it isnt clearanced correctly, you'll have issues.

There is no real way to check clearances (the ones he provides) unless you tear the motor down and check them yourself.

Same goes with the cylinder head.

If he's willing to go on the record and state the clearances, i'd consider it, but i'd be cautious

Personally, i'd do the build myself from scratch for piece of mind.

That is not unusual for an item with such a high starting price. The main thing I would be concerned about is buying a $800 item from a seller with only 40 feedback
