When i got home today my g/f noticed a clicking/clunking sound happening when the car is even on a slow roll. With the steering wheel straight and even on full lock.

This never was the case when my car was on coils...

Now i know, from trolling these forums for 4-5 years.. that people with the FD civic had problems with the knuckle or something popping out when swapping coils..

Could this by any chance be the reason why its clicking.. i mean i drove home.. 30-40 kms fine.. no issues.

    Anyone have any clues?

    Thanks
Not sure if it is the same case, but I had a clunking sound before on my Odyssey front wheels and it was really obvious at slow speeds. Sounded like as if I had a nail stuck in the tires

Turned out to be a small stone stuck between the backing plate and the rotors. It dropped out when I removed my rims to have a look at the tires.

    In response to EKDEZ

around 3 months ago I had a small clicking noise on the left hand side. But sometimes it sounded like it was fron the drivers side. Either way it was annoying. Everytime I accelerated , stepped on the pedal I could notice it as the engine noise is low but when i sstep on it hard you can faintly here it. At first I was advised by hanny's robert that it was a stone caught as mentione aboved but after a week it was still there. Robert told me to thrash the car and stepped on the brake hard thats how u test if there is stones there apparently. I took it back and told him to check it out further realise my engine mounts were fudged. those damn hyrdaulic engine mounts are shit. costed me 250 for a second hand one left hand side.

    Hope this helps.

The mounts are made of cheese.

Anyone have links to solid mounts?

Fixed the problem.. =) and for those who would like to know,

I jacked the car up and turned the wheel around.. i took a video of it but its like 32 megs :|
It sounded like something was falling vertically every time the wheel made it to a certain point.
So as soon as i took my wheel off a bolt fell out and rolled under my car..

It was the one in the middle... I mean wtf.. If they took that off why wouldn't they tighten it up?

Anyhow.. i guess the sound has gone.. But i definitely will be calling them on Tuesday!

    Just got some euro plates.

They actually look quite good on the FD but I should have bought a slim line for the front - it's massively long

    The Hub nut?

Well as you can see, on the driveshaft spline there is a notch. This notch is so you can bend the end of the hub nut into the notch, so it does not come loose.

as you can see in the image below

Nah Eibach Prokit springs with Tokico HTS, they came already on the firmest setting and I gotta say they soak up the bumps instead of crashing like the stock ones did. Got a full day at Marulan tmw with a few mates, so I may play with the settings or not. Also threw on a Cusco FSB and a Tanabe Muffler I got off Pitiek ! Hopefully should get a bit of footage
