It is a good plan to lift it up, so you can fit under the car, fit the pan under and such.
I would change my oil and such myself, but I don't have a trolley jack or jack stands on me :3

But yeah, replace oil and oil filter at the same time, else you'll have dirty oil in your system. (or it's what I was told)

    DIY fo dat win yo

    but seriously

1)buy a trolley jack from Supercheap. The higher it goes up, the better. get 4 jack stands while u are at it. If it's specials time, then all u need in 100 bucks.

    2) jack it up (front first) and get it up on the stands. F then R.

    3) a couple of spanners, and bob's ur uncle.

The amount of money you will save on futire services is priceless

I'm curious, what else would you need to do?
I mean, normally they check plugs, filters, brake wear and such... so I suppose just change pads and stuff if they need changin, and grab some new filters every now and again for a good clean air flow?

new oil and oil filter every 10k kms
    new air filter every 20k
if youre only running regular copper plugs, do these every 20k
    new fuel filter every 30k
pads, however ever often you need to. depends on the driving, normally get 70k if its just regular driving. They have low level indicators, so they squeel when theyre low

    coolant normally every 100k

    Seriously?

Its right there in the name bro.

    Fuel filter. Filters the fuel.

    Oil filter. Filters the oil.

Most people here will recommend genuine honda stuff. But any aftermarket filter is fine.
