Eg civic - engine cranks but doesn't start

Hey guys bit of a noob but last night car was driving fine .. Was all day . Got the a set of lights at night car started losing power on acceleration then chugged and didn't go anywhere . Checked sparks were in properly that was all ok (but someone looked at it today and said no sparks at all) tried a different set of leads as well . After the car stopped checked dipstick oil was there shoved it in oil was dry . Checked last week oil was still there was meant to get a service today but car won't start . Anyone know what's wrong ? All helpful feedback greatly appreciated . Thanks guys

Most likely distributor problem, check rotor might have broken?

pretty simple just unscrew 3 or 4 screws off distributor cap and and take off...inside there will be this plastic rotor usually orange from factory...prone to disintegrating over the years.

Another good video you might wanna have a look at it before u decide to get a new distributor (might save a few buxs)....
