None of those are as classy and comfortable as a Euro though... XR6, especially in BA spec is asking for headaches. You'll spend more fixing it than S/C a Euro.

U get what u pay for.
What about liberty gt or a 6 mps? Both sedan and luxury-ish and being FI, easier to get more power with basic bolt-ons.
Don't waste your time on the euro if ur not sure what your up for especially with custom fab work. With reliable FI, you will need to sleeve your motor, upgrade to stronger rods and pistons....plus others possibly to keep it reliable besides install of turbo, intercooler and accessories. The torque steer will take away any fun with the car IMO..or any heavy fwd car for that matter.

    U have auto or manual?
Auto you have probs with torque converter, manual need heavy duty clutch.
Don't forget about engine management costs and tuning lol

    yes, get a Golf GTI!

unless you have big $$,$$$ to get it done properly you could end up going in and out of workshops trying to rectify this and that... plus you will need engineering certificates / mod plates blah blah to stay legal.

but, i doubt you will get any of the $$,$$$ or $,$$$ you spend on the turbo or supercharger mods when you need to sell.

If you do get a Golf though, beware the DSG, it's plagued with problems. I know 3 people with VW all with the DSG and it's absolute rubbish. And the gear box isn't the only problem they have with it. Euro still can't match the Japs for reliability.

    That's a bit silly comparison...

Looks at the specs, tires and setup of the RS250 CUP then compare it to both the GTi and the C63 AMG =|

GTi is just a commuters hot hatch that won't mess up their hair or groceries, the C63 AMG is a scary thing that I doubt you'd track hard. Given you're going to the N-ring I doubt most of us can make it around without going off.

Compare it to the other hot/track special versions, you won't find that much of a difference.

The rs250 used on the n-ring is about the same as the one you pick up from the dealer. Australia don't get the non-cup chassis dude. All rs250s sold here are Cup chassis.... So its not a "special track version"....... Except the rubber, which I think the n-ring had Bridgestones and the AUDM gets Michelin pilot sport.

The times were done by professional drivers btw. I didn't use the c63 as a comparison but as a yard stick.

Btw if you read the local reviews around youd see it's just as comfortable as the Golf/Scricco.

Hell even the VW fans concede the frog kicks ass:
