    hi ask for b18c2

    hi guys , i brought a complete b18c2 lastweek . me and my mate want try to rebuilt it ( first time )  then fit in our eg  , we seen a rebuilt kit ( gasket , piston timing belt) from usa ebay . but only seen they have for
    94-01 HONDA ACURA INTEGRA GSR ENGINE REBUILD KIT B18C1

    my question is is the b18c1 same as our b18c2 ? can i use this kit ?

    B18C2 kit will be fine.
    You should also check the condition of the valve assembly but most of the work will on them will need to be carried out by a professional.

    You can use that kit but you better make sure you get your block resurfaced, honed or bored if needed by a professional and your crank linished also get you cylinder head serviced.

    i would personally be pretty wary of rebuilding a valuable and complicated engine such as a B18C1 for my first. i have a JDM B18C in my garage that most likely needs a rebuild but I'm too scared to touch the internals for my first rebuild. i'm leaning towards buying a sub $1000 car for a rebuild and resell before getting into my B18, just to be 100% sure i know what i'm doing when i pull it apart.
    just saying....
