Digital Speedo on the Radio (GE Jazz)

    From FitFreak.net

Here is the exact procedure from the technical manual... your car does NOT need to be off to begin the process... you can start this at any time even if car is running...

    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II). Make sure turn off the audio unit.

    2. Push and hold the preset No. 1 and No. 6 buttons. While holding the buttons, push the power button (A). Release the buttons and the self-diagnostic mode begins.

    3. Press Preset button 5. Now, when you drive the vehicle, the VSP indicates the vehicle speed in km/h.

    4. The self-diagnostic mode ends when you turn off the audio unit or turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

You can do it on the fly too, if your fingers can reach.

Only con is you can't adjust the radio while its active. Also, my speedo reads ~4km/h faster than what's displayed on the radio.....

cool. will probably try this today. anyone know if the other buttons (2-4) do anything after you enter diag mode? i also think that the jazz's speedo is ~5km faster than the real speed for safety reasons.
    thanks for the video

Neat! The digital speed display is accurate, according to my GPS.

Awesome. So when i've been humming along at 65km/h feeling a little rebellious, I was actually sitting right on the speed limit
Actually it was probably better when I didn't know that.....

Do you guys have the same 'problem' with the analogue speedo being a little fast? Its ~4km/h in my case (to the centre of the needle)
Ill try the GPS on my phone, see if it matches the digital speedo

    Hey Gnat,

I tried this on my 07' Jazz GLi and like discussed the speedo does not work, but what I would like to know is, what does buttons 2 & 4 do? When I tried the above procedure, button 2 brought up everything on the screen and button 4 did something to the unit, but is there somewhere to tweak the system to maximise output etc.

    Cheers.

Apparently if you hold down presets 2 and 4 for 10 seconds, the computer retunes to give an extra 20 killerwasps.

Thanks for the reply and sorry if I sound daft, but could you explain the last bit, 'extra 20 killerwasps'? Cheers
