But since we were friend, I will still believe on him. He got pride if you asked me, and I don't see he will gain anything by driving a "replica" around. Just imagine how hard people will laugh at him if it's replica. Why would anyone want to drive a replica these days unless they are retards..
I'm 99% sure that you can not import the Euro R as the CL9 is already sold in the domestic market over here.. as per the RAWS rules you cant bring those kinds of cars (for example S15's from ~2002 cannot be brought in since they were sold locally as 200SX)..
if there was one, it would most likely be a personal import..
and yes the laws are retarded even though the CL7 is pretty much a different car to the CL9, but the same rule is with the Lexus GS300 from 1998-2003. That model has an N/A 2JZ, and in Japan they are sold as the Toyota Aristo with both the N/A and twin turbo 2JZ, yet you cant bring them in! (unless its a personal import)
If you want one, be prepared to pay heaps for an ultra rare personal import, or just wait for them to be 20 years old. (this is assuming someone has actually gone to all the trouble to bring in a FWD Euro R instead of all the other great unique cars that can be brought in from Japan/Europe )
