    my car broke down today .....auto electrician said the electronic ignition coil needs replacing. Anyone know how much this is gonna cost me?

    Depending upon ur car...but usually about $180 for a new unit.

    There are a few main parts of ur distributor - this is one - but be warned - bieng hondas, and having weak internal coils - usually you will have to replace another part of the unit quite soon too - it happend to my last 2 hondas.

    Just becareful once a coil is dead.. your ignitior switch won't be to far behind going....and that’s mega expensive to replace, were always fixing up peoples dizzy’s there actually very common to break after 6 yrs of use.

    just FYI for anyone who finds this thread by searching...

    the MSD Blaster coil and MSD cap are available for VTEC engines and costs around $190 for both...

    and it works fine
