Yeah it's no stock powermachine and it rides like a boat with stock sussy.
I say all the better. I love modding and the more a car needs mods the longer it'll keep me busy improving it.
Areis I agree with you, and I'd love more power, but do I NEED it, not so much 90% of the time

Sure you don't get a powerful engine, but that's not necessary if you just want it as a daily driver.
I'm driving a Cooper S around this week while I get the new bags for the rear of the civic, and it's too fun for a daily, I'd lose so many points with it.
Have the FD as a perfect daily, and have a weekend car. Or do what I do and just mod it so that it handles well, and then use it occasionally on the weekends too.
moite

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to DuffyFD again.
I was in a FourDoorsome on the commute home, 2 old, 2 new, felt lovely and warm.

huge Mod today, installed a set of D1 Spec racing nuts !! lol. Unfortunately last time I had my tyres rotated the stupid tyre dude cross threaded 2 studs on my rear right wheel, so today I had to rip the rotor and caliper off today and replace 2 studs. Not the lightest nuts but probably 0.5kg lighter the POS steel ones I had.
Anyway my Vti is ready to rock and roll at Eastern Creek this Thursday arvo, only ridden bikes at the creek so pretty keen to see how the Civic handles turn 1 flat out ! hoping for a sub 2.05. If any of you FD boys are keen you should rock up to check the action out. The real battle will be with my mates Mx5.

Dude I bought a set of the D1spec one's before, and would never used them again on anything I cared about. 2 of them seized, they all lost their colour (I bought black ones), and they were weak as shit.
My mate used them before and he had a wheel come off whilst driving!
From my experience they're cheap shit, so I wouldn't advise you to use them, especially if you're throwing it around the track.
I use and will always prefer steel, yes it's a bit heavier, but it's shitloads stronger and you can torque them up knowing they're not going to break.

Thanks for the heads up Duffy, only $50 so I'll see how they go, looks like it might get washed out anyway. I always check my nuts after every session. Yeah well aware that the colour will get knocked off
