numbers dont quite compute ??? WTF ?? you just thought his motor was 80KW and now it doesnt compute ??

It's all about driving technique and setup.. and KB not mentioning he removed door-trims, rear parcel shelf, passenger's seat etc.. even his sun-visors (!!) hahha. power to weight ratio, a good launch, fast shifts at the right points.. and you can get fast 1/4 miles from a SOHC VTAK.. makes me want my D16Y1 back.. 15.61" with stock intake, stock exhaust and sttripped interior.

I only got 15.007" with my JDM B16A in EG5.. I was pissed off cause I had pulled 15.024" (prepped track surface) with stock intake and no short shifter etc.!!! broken front lower (passenger's side) mount not helping..

on my 1st run (against KB) when I pulled 15.007", KB was EXACTLY the same time as me at the 330' mark (6.520)after he pulled a 2.412 60' to my 2.510.

ALL HAIL GOD OF SOHC TAK KB.. BOW DOWN !!!.. DO IT NOW !! I SAID NOW !

well yo wrong dawg.. VTi = ~96Kw CXi/GLi = ~80Kw.. haha but now you know.

Trav.. yeah man I pulled the 15.024: with stock (D16) intake, more interior, bastardised linkages and shifter, mix-matched suspension etc. on the road, the mods have made a huge difference.. but at the track.. my broken mount made the dominant side for wheelspin swap from driver's side to passenger's side.. I think my stock clutch is almost dead aslo, i was launching up to 6000RPM with next to no wheelspin - tho my tyres were down to 15psi and I think they may have been too low and actually causing rolling resistance.. who knows.. the only thing I got out of it was that I think there was a 0.2" gain as the track at DRAG-WARS when I got the previous time was surface-prepped while it was not on the weekend.

but man KB is the King of n/a D-Series !!
