ive got it. its fine. i love it. mines a manual car. all i can say is triple check if its in gear before you start it!! i have made that mistake and my car went bucking up the street!!
lol fuk man id be scared if my car started driving off without me in it lol,
are those alarms any good? or are they rice alarms that have lots of features that dont actually do alot? as far as saving your car from damage or getting stolen?
hey new civic (if thats you in your avatar your a hotty!)
anyway they arent illegal!!! we sell them at my work, they are legal in automatic cars without any modifications to switches, however if its to be installed into a manual car a switch is fitted with it so if the handbrake is up it will start and if it is down it wont start. straight from the horses mouth!
hav had these alarms for a while. find it really handy in the morning or when the whether is really cold..and it can warm the cabin too if the fan switch left on about remote starting while gear engage, wat i know is for mine it will try start up and jerk(hand brakes on) then stop..and try for another 2 times then giv up. <== but i really havnt tried it yet. only had an experience long time ago when it jerk once and i quickly turned it off. well after tat ..get very used to leaving it neutral and hand brakes on b4 leaving the car.
bit concern bout the damaging part.. anyone know any further? never heard of it until now.
lol well my garage is connected to my room so if i left my car in gear i would have my car in my bed which wouldnt be too good, so i thought there would be a sensor dosnt allow the car to try and start unless it is in neutral... like autos only start in "p", or, "n" you know?
I got a cheap steal stopper...and its a POS. I have to get it fixed cos there is definitely sumthing wrong with it. But then again, you get what you pay for. I personally don't wanna spend much money on a high-tech alarm with lotsa features - I don't think it increases the security of my car any more than ur standard alarm with a steering lock.
Btw, with remote engine starts......what are they for anyway? Do you drive without a key in the ignition? If so, to turn off ur engine, do you stick the key inside the ignition and switch it off sumhow? Seems more of a novelty than a security feature to me...any-1 can add to that?

they are designed for places where it snows. you can start your car with the heaters and demisters before you get into your car.
most systems are setup if you put your foot on the brake while no key in the ignition it turns the car off and sets off the alarm. least thats what i was told.
