    He is asking for a cheaper alternative. That was the thread. Its his car so you shouldnt assume financial status' of others. And there is nothing wrong with rebuilding it.

    Remember you must confirm that the walls of the cylinder are not scored in anyway ~ if they are , its a writeoff anyway.

    all good now .. ended up sourcing it from peter warren coz i didnt want to wait for shipping and to answers benjaminns question, no i didnt have a nice loan attach or attached to it

    Something to keep in mind that if it's still soft after swapping out the clutch master, that it could also be the clutch slave. But less likely... the master cylinders seem to go more often...

    yeah i had to bleed the slave aswel thx for the headsup

    Rebuilding is not a bad idea. I realise we live in a disposable society but there is pleasure to be had in taking something apart, repairing it and reassembling.

    And if the cylinder is scored you can usually re-hone with a very simple tool attached to a drill.

    man after reading how much ppl were saying about the price..

    i know i got ripped off for sure!

    i had to replace my master and slave cycliner on my ep3!

    and the person who did the job for me.. he just said he'l fix it and look after me!
