    Problem with IDLE

Hey guys, I noticed today in my car when the volume is low, idle is fine but when I crank it up, the idle jumps up and down continuously.

Anyone have this problem ? I'm assuming something along of the lines the Alternator (driven by a belt) is working harder to maintain the charge ?

    Thanks.

ground issues... also get yourself an optima battery. blue or yellow top for systems. Fhrx on here sells them if your interested, but upgrade your ground wires first to some of 4 guage...

ground issues, are you referring to the audio system or the car grounding system? or both?

yeah i had the same problems. first started doing it after i had the air intake installed, did it for about 2 weeks on and off. Then stopped for ages. Just installed a new stereo on the weekend and now it is doing it again.

What sort of audio are u running? Specifically, whats the RMS rating of ur amps? Generally when u pull more current from ur alternator, the idle is automatically raised to balance. Happens with my car too...hehe, goes spastic when i'm testing it with bass tones!
