    Brakes

    Hey guys, was wondering if any of you guys have heard of HorsePower brakes pads? Been quoted:
    - DBA Street Series Front Rotors $55.55 each
    - DBA Street Series Rear Rotors $40.03 each
    - Horsepower Front Pads $39.20 for the set
    - Horsepower Rear Pads $39.20 for the set

    Not sure how they compare in terms of pricing though.

    Rotors = Disc.
    Horsepower = Non asbestos according to their website, but it's a lot cheaper than Bendix. Unless you have another brand to recommend.

    DBA is better quality, RDA will be fine for regular commuting but they don't hold up to heavy work too well.

    Spend the extra on pads - its the same as shocks, the Euro actually has fairly bitey pads factory so cheap and nasty pads will be dissapointing...

    I had that once going from Ferodo to Bendix, noticed a big difference in bite.

    I got my bendix pads for $60 odd dollars (trade price) from either auto barn or supercheap.

    Else you could order online, EBc or HAWK for $70-odd

    Yeah, well looking at Hawk HP ones now as they seem to have decent review. Bendix is alright too, although SuperCheap doesn't have any in stock for the model. They reckon $75 per pair as well. Apparently HorsePower are made in Japan, and are ceramic based but always better safe than sorry I guess.

    I have EBC BlackStuff pads on my RB3...great pads.. great bite, even when cold..but very dusty compared to OEM pads...lots of "black stuff" on the wheels.. I'll probably get the same pads for the wife's CU2 when they need replacing..
