There should be a plate on the radiator support area. Should say FD2 or FD1. But if yours has a k20z then it is a FD2

Dont forget the obvious, the badge hahah. But usually the sport has like more aggressive rims. From 09 and below, the sport comes with EP3r Rims. So i guess have a look =)

Pre-Facelift - Larger fog lights, triangle or "pointy" grill shape, and circular rear brake lights

Facelift - Smaller circular fog lights, squared grill shape, and hexagon shaped rear brake lights

    Easiest way I see it

FD1 = Side Indicator on fender
FD2 = Side Indicator on Side Mirror

Well in Aus anyway, FD2R has fender indicator too.

Only the Sports Has the K20 DOHC
VTI and VTI-L are 1.8 SOHC

To spot the differences the 2009+ Has a facelift, Squared Tail Lights, Indicators on the Side Rear View, Different Rims and obviously the Sports badge.
The Older Model has a different bodykit & Circle Tail Lights.
