2BSEEN EK RESPRAY What should and shouldnt be painted

So my ek civic was side swiped on the driver’s side....

One side needed painting, so I decided to respray the whole car in the same supersonic blue paint.

My question is this..... What should and shouldn’t be painted????

Should all plastic trims be painted??

Should the black trim around the number plate on the boot be painted???

Also should the badges stay off...

I need ideas before the paint is mixed

    Thanks

Plastic Trims should all be taken off - around the windscreen, windows, sunroof etc

The number plate surrounding comes of I believe so take it off

Badges should definately be taken off

Headlights and tailights should be taken off

If you want everything to be colourcoded u can leave the trims on the door on rear bumper. More recommended way is to take them off and spray separately, so underneath is sprayed as well.

Basically anything that is removable should be taken off. This allows the paint to go into the creases and seal properly.

However, this is for it to be done properly. If your spraying it the same colour you could always leave it all on and just mask up...really up to you.

shave the moldings on the front and rear bar
colour code the side molds and get a set of OEM tail lights

and btw your car will totally be seen out of the crowd at that ride height

What do you think about painting the trim near the boot n that?

Yeah I do still have my old taillights but I do have to take my boot installs out to get to it.

EK9 front grille, EK9 front and rear lip, EK facelift tail lights. Remove eyelids, stock mirrors or spoon. Paint trim, shave the bumper moldings. LOWER IT DOWN.

I reckon paint your number plate surround. Will make it look cleaner. have a look at the VTIR civics, they have it painted. Looks better.

I also think you should spray your door handles. For the same reasons as the number plate surround.

You can also spray your side skirts but I like them better unpainted. More of a personal preference though.

When they respray your front bumper, make sure they mask off the grills, you don't want that shit painted. The grills look better unpainted.
