vti alternator plug vs ITR plug

so the civic vti alternator plug has three wires for it, whereas the ITR has four, the extra being for alt control, resolution?

thanks in advance, rep points will be left for advice

The ITR loom was cut up, the vti works just fine...

Usual story, lazy bugger didn't have the 5 mins to push the plugs through the fire wall and cut up a few other things
