Halogen, for a proper beam patter not that there will be one with foglights.

Fog/driving lights are illegal to be used in traffic and in normal weather conditions

and not to be used within 200m of others drivers

do you really need them or is it a fashion thing?

I need them not for fashion, there's fog every morning here maybe less when summer. Other ppl use low beam when they dont have fog light.

I'm buying new headlights (halo projector), should i use stock bulbs for low beam or use HID for more brightness?

A proper fog light doesnt seat like a low beam. It sends light all infront high and low. but because the light is yellow it doesn't annoy on coming or people u behind of. My Teg has them and ive used once on the F3. Helped heaps. The ones on my CRV are crap. White light that points down. Doesn't help at all! Id use Halogen. As they are great for yellow light.
Main reason people use HID is for white white light. Or wank facter blue and purple!!!!!!!
