EG civic B18c2 OBD2 - Intake secondaries not sure if theyre wired in??

    Hi Guys.

    Ive got a 95 EG Civic with a B18C2 OBD2 P72, OBD2 to OBD2 harness and a OBD2 loom/dizzy etc.

Vtec has a switch over at 4500rpm but i cant tell if the secondaries are opening no apparent note change just the single one at 4500rpm~

What wires on the ecu/loom/harness should i check to make sure its wired in correctly, what should i check(black box under the intake) on the engine to see if its plugged in.

any links/tech articles on this would be great

    thanks

    Neil

From memory the dual length intake runners are vacuum operated, but if you are wanting to go over the wiring, Pm mocchi, as he has a complete break down of which wires go to what pins for the obd1 -> obd2 conversion harness for the ecu. Otherwise have a read of the workshop manuals which can be found on pdftown.com

you have to rev it to about 5k.

I would not do that with out loading the engine. Connect a test lamp to the IAB Solenoid and watch it. it should go out when the rpm goes above 5k on at idel.

the ECU will put out a ground signal to enable below 5k
