    i have a set of 17x8" momo. the rears are wrapped in 215/40/R17 and the fronts are wrapped in 235/40/R17, i only get drip at take offs at 225 and higher, coz the car is turbo'd.
    the max you can fit without spacers is 225 at the rears and 245 up front, thats on my car and i have tested thats, its a DC2 btw.

    i wouldn't go profile 40 try 45 it more comfortable

    45 profile on 17" rim on a dc2 will grind on the inside wall specially while turning
