and about your reverse gear UNA91, ALL cars crunch when you go into reverse whilst moving. technically you're supposed to come to a dead stop before putting it into that gear!

not sure how you guys measure ride height since i've never seen the car at stock height, but i guess its a little higher than finger gap from the top...maybe like finger and a half? lol i'm confident the fronts will fit fine without scrubbing on 8" +35 unless i'm swinging hard into a corner maybe. What about the rears?
what tyre size are u running at the moment im on similar height to urs on the rear with 17x8 +45 not scrub but I reckon roll ur rear to be safe.

Lol yea i figured there was no sychros for reverse; its just that at my uni I usually park on an slight incline and i would just pop it in neutral, roll into the parking space and sometimes I don't roll back far enough so i select reverse, hence, crunch lol

Currently running 215/45, the wheels i'm looking to get has 225/45 and still with decent thread. According to the offset calculator, I should have 20mm more poke with +35.

Haha yeah, i've went thru the wheel setup thread, read that you had some whack alignment going on in the front for some reason lol
i'm gonna test fit a friends 8.5" +35 wheel this afternoon, that should help me judge abit.

Nobody seemed to notice it with stock wheel specs. No idea what caused it may have happened before it was imported.

Reverse is a straight cut gear hence why it makes a whining noise and sometimes crunches.

Ok, defs getting the wheels. Test fitted my friends 8.5" +30 wheels and they do poke out a little but JUST clears; he was also running wider 235 tyres, should be better with 8" 35+ with 225/45 or 215/45 tyres, but i'll defs need to roll guards anyway, maybe run a little camber to be safe. Whats the point of those lips on the fender anyway...
P.s. I got quoted $39 to freight the set of wheels from Sydney to Brisbane, depot-depot with e-go. Does that sound right? total weight is roughly 88kg, dimensions are 22cm wide, 47cm diameter roughly. I thought i input something wrong so when i changed the dimensions and weight the price only varies by $2 or $3 more. I've used this company to freight wheels from Melbourne to Brisbane without problems before, and it costed me around $85
