    [1994] Touch up paint

    Hey,

Ive got a few scratches and chips of paint from some car park encounters on both front and rear bumper.

As much as i'd like to respray the bumpers, it wouldnt really be worth it so ill try my hand at a dodgy touch up repair.

Anyone have any tips or hints on making this look good?

Also, what colour is my car...?

    Go here -> http://www.autobarn.com.au/files/LWB...gue%202004.pdf

On page 9, i have a silver 94 Accord, does anyone konw the colour name?

    Cheers.

i wouldnt waste your money, effort or time trying to successfully touch up scratches etc. i think dodgy touch ups look worse than the actual damage in the first place.

I have used www.kwikfix.com.au with more than excellent results at a much lower cost than what smash repairers charge.

    Cheers for the replies...

h22a, in regards to kwikfix i have:

chipped paint on rear bumper size of 20c piece
chipped paint on front bumper size of 20c piece as well as graze
about a dozen chips on the bonnet pin sized (there when i bought the car... hail damage??)

Do you have any idea on the cost of fixing these?

The bonnet chips i can live with because you cant notice them from a distance, but the marks on the bumpers are annoying and i thought with touchup paint it would be a quick fix, wont look great but hopefully blend in because its only a small area.

your prolly looking around 100 bux for the chips and graze's in the bar.

As for the chips in the bonnet, there is www.ducomagic.com, they have this magic ( lol ) stuff that they wipe over the area and it fills the chips.

I think kwikfix have now got the same stuff, you will have to ask them. but it shouldnt be any more than about 50 bux if its just the front leading edge of the bonnet.
