    Help on inspecting a dc2r!!

Hey guys anyone here know a shit load about dc2r's want to come and check one out with me?

I got an inspection by stateroads but have a feeling it's the luck of the draw in respect to what type of Inspector you get.

I'm happy to pay or chuck in a feed or whatever =D

    Thanks.

Change your thread title to make it a bit more informative.

    What is your main concern?

How do i change the thread title?

In regards to the car, it looks really clean full service history etc.. i just like to be 100% on the condition of the car.

With the stateroads inspections, theres just the opportunity of you getting an inexperienced inspector, one that is not that mechanically minded, not fully aware of the car and what it is capable in stock form etc...

Edit your first post, click go advanced then change the title.

Did you get a report from state roads? I had one done and the inspector knew what he was doing. Is there something you are suss about the car?

    Not really sus,

His the second owner the first was his brother,

He said his brother got the gearbox replaced at about 70-80xxx Kms.

Also when he started it up which he claims he hadn't started up since last service which was 2 weeks prior, upon revving it in neutral there was some white smoke.. Assuming it was just condensation?

Oh and yes I got a report which the inspector claims the exhaust was too big for the dc2r and it was the stock exhaust.

Note that was on another dc2r not this one.

Call them back and say your not happy with the inspector and you would like another person to look at the car, give them your reasons.
    Wanna email me the report?

Yeh sure pm your email and ill forward it too you. Tell me how it compares to the one you got done.

I'm pretty sure he was right about most things though as what he was saying was true and indicates that there was a major accident. I have moved away from that R now due to it being an odd sale experience.
