Any extra visibility is a good thing for riders. More driver awareness is too as what this page is all about.

Are you blind for not seeing? Of course a bike/rider has minimal if not no protection at all compared to a car.

You should try to limit the amount of time in a blind spot in any occasion. There are however moments where you will be in a blind spot for however long it is. A blind spot is exactly why you need to head check or use your mirrors to make sure there is no vehicle there before you move in to their lane.
