i got a EG hatch, with the B series Vtec (Known as the FIRST Vtec) and i love it best thing ive ever bought, not the best condition body but dam so fun, and agile.

might be able to pick up a cheap one for under 5k.
may not have aircon though, few ppl skimp out on that to make the engine swap cheaper.

or u can always just start off with a D series Vtec (standard australian model engines), would still be pretty fun in such a light car.

    If anythng get the prelude
As it is a sportier car and can handle more than a civic (suspension/handling/performance wize)
    Good luck

How do you mean a Prelude can handle more? (suspension/handling/performance wize)

90% of those cars atm for sale
Have stock wheels, hub caps, not lowered/stanced/flush, no exhaust pipers, no bbs/work wheels, no body kits
He'll have to spend extra to get those cars to look nice

    See where i'm going here?
    $5k to spend
    Dont like tegs, civics?
Had a falcon ghia (4 door)
Im sure an Accord is the most obvious choice
Hence my suggestion about the EM1. They look real nice without mods as it is. But definitely Prelude, OP.

nah lude is like a compfy sports tourer,
where as a civic is a family car, which for some reason can easily be fitted with one of hondas most popular Vtec engine series. and ontop of that it weighs so lil.

the two in a completely different class, i dont think u can really compare them.

unless u wanted to use both for the purpose of spirited driving, in case i think the civic would be better because its lighter, you can always hunt for more power but it gets to a stage where you cant go any lighter.

    still good for sprited driving

lightness and power are for the track, as long as u haev the handling part down you'll still have fun with it
