I doubt fuel would really make a big difference. The top driver would not need to push for the first 30mins. I quite like the idea. It's something different, deffinately exciting, not too confusing, no loopholes to be taken advantage of, level playing field.

Elimination qualifying... it's basically a warm-up race where the top time wins.
