    short shifter lube

Just installed short throw shifter into EG.
But shifting into gears now is quite stiff.
Im thinking its related to the bushing that goes over the Ball (pivot point), is the ball meant to be greased up?
Also the old one split - just around the bottom but not into the socket where it covers the ball- where can i get a new one of those at a decent price? oem/aftermarket?

it was such a pain, my exhaust pipe must of been made by a spaz so i cant get it out of the way, because the pushing wont budge enough.
my body is aching from being under there for 2hours trying to line it all up.
so worth it though, but hoping there is a grease i can use that will seep down the sides.
apparantly chain grease is good for it.

yeh man, if the chain lube doesnt seep in, then ill have to pop it all out and re-do. also realised i may have overtightened the shifter linkage to the selecter. so ill loosen that up too.

not sure if srs or just trollan ...

if serious ... find a taper needle, that way you can find the thickness required to distribute the lube ... (inb4pun)

make sure u have washers that fit properly on the bottom linkage so u tighten the bolt agianst the bearing/bush and not on the actual gearstick
    dnt just loosen it off

oh yes the kit came with 2 plastic grommet style bits for either side of the bottom hole to make the width of the shifter.
