    Post Buying a crashed car.

So, i found a 2000 civic hatch on gumtree, its been smacked in the mouth a bit. but i think it has potential.

has 190K and is up for 500 dollars. Manual.

What do you guys think? fixerupper? or just wreck it ( if i were still to buy it?)

i can take things apart and put them back together, but im just wondering how much im looking at here? and what i should look for a bit further down?

Edit: Not sure why the middle picture is upsidedown...

if the actual chasis is bent or anything i dont think you can register it. if its just bumper/headlights taillights and stuff you can but not worth it really . would be good if you were ganna make it a track/drag car not registering it.

500 bucks I'd keep it around for spares. But seeing you don't already have an EK, that's not an option. You could probably part it out and make a good little profit. Speaking of which, if you do buy the wreck and part it out, I dibs on the taillights, parcel shelf and clips and the grill.

What state are you in btw?

Wreck it out, but getting $500 back might be dificult

Looking at the lower radiator support, that sucker seems to be off-kilter implying that the chassis is bent/broken.

    It's dead Jim.

You might make a little on top if you part the motor/gbok and every little extra

probably not worth the bother though when you add towing and labour....

any damage to chasis mate? if so bad luck. If not I'd buy it and try do it up. If it doesnt work out, sell it for parts. Max $500

the chick smacked it pretty good against the drain, ( one of the concrete ones on semi rural driveways) looks like it hit the rail and then moved in towards the gearbox, and at some stage has also bent the suspention setup backwards against the guard. broken the welding on the front lower bar, and bent and twisted the top bar. no leaks exept the washer bottle. but yeah, with the suspention all bent out of place, and the front damage, dont think its worth the time/effort. would be perfect as a parts car though, if anyones interested let me know and ill pass on the numbers.
