But basically.
If you drive a front wheel drive, when you rotate your tyres you use the middle diagram, front left goes to back left, back left goes to front right, front right goes to back right, back right goes to front left each time you rotate your tyres, that's how you're meant to do it.

Glad the problem is solved ... it might still be worth going off and getting a balance and alignment though, just to ensure you actually have done everything right.
