Holyshit dude 750kms... wow thats so fking good ... ive used vortex 98 and vpower and their both the same and i only get 450-500kms full tank.. my cars sitting on 74,000kms .. is there something wrong with my fuel efficiency or is that just normal for fd2s

It's normal for FD2s. Especially worse if yours is auto. All those NA mods will require tuning + ECU which will be around 2k alone. Parts and labour another 2-3k so budget 5k up for NA route. turbo Route cost me 10k+ all up and the bills are still rolling in. There's always more to do or something to fix/tune. Do what suits your budget. Either way don't expect to have good fuel economy. It's a bonus if its good.

My Turbo bill is under $7K, E85 tune and Walbro pump cost me another $500. Remember the VTi is SOHC and was designed for Fuel Efficiency, my previous best was 730km for 44 litres, thats going down Hume highway sitting on 110kmh. Had too laugh, had Highway Patrol car pull up beside me this morning filling whilst filling my tank with E Flex and he was suprised my Honda could run it !! Lol I told him it had been tuned for it, sure as hell didnt tell him it was boosted.

David if u want to kswap, it's not that expensive since you have an FD2 as the stock parts will be compatible with the engine. I was thinking of doing the kswap once upon a time haha.

    I have a K24 FD2 Ball park figure is 8-10 No Gearbox - 10-12 Type R Box - Recommended. - No China/2nd Hand Parts used.

    This is buying

    K24
    Clutch/Flywheel
    RBC Cam Gear
    RBC Manifold
    Injen Intake
    Engine Mounts
    Headers
    Exhaust
    CRV Bracket
    US Accord 68MM DBW T/B

++Gearbox - Type R Box with LSD. No point having all that power and no LSD.

ECU - I went with a Haltech PS1000, However using a Flashpro and US ECU would be considerably cheaper and far less difficult.

There is NO point touching stock motor internally, bolting up a turbo would be my only suggestion.

Bolting up a turbo to a K20z should see between 150kw - 200kw depending on fueling, turbo and tune.

K24 will easily surpass 250kw+ with Turbo, stock bottom end basic bolts

My Stock K24 with only RBC Cam Gear, Injen Intake, RBC Manifold and Exhaust Made 150kw atw on 98.

Those figures are pretty accurate on the k20z2. My gt28rs only pulled 130kw initially on 7psi with stock exhaust. But now with full exhaust mods and increased boost by 2psi I'm expecting in the region of 170kw

oh really the stock parts in a fd2 are compatible with any k series engine even the k20a and k20a2, what made you decide not to kswap? How much would it be for kswapping i know the k20 engine are around 5k special deal from jdmyard but how much would labour cost to fit the engine in etc??

I thought that was true. Is that still right though? At least in NSW I'm not sure.
