To find out what cars are eligible for import you have to look at the raws list( http://www.raws.com.au/sevsregc.asp ).
Any car 20+ years old is clear for importation but if not you have to have owned it overseas for a year. To my knowledge the only good Honda that is approved for importing is the EP3 civic type R.

Even if you win, you can't register it for street use, it would have to be track only

Also if you don't get someone to comply it [empty A/C gas, etc] then they can send the car back or impound it iirc?

sort of the scenarios with the wrx's and 22Bs, none were able to be ADR complied so all track only.

The 22b wouldnt be that difficult to get put on the sevs list (different body, different engine + performance and magazine publication) but the fact is due to limited numbers, it doesnt make much business sense to go through the trouble of getting approved to do it and then importing 2-3 coz thats all thats left.

Same scenario with more mass produced cars but there is always an expection to the rule, ala the ferrari/lambo crowd.

would be the same case for the Mugen RR as it has limited production. FD2R might be a better option, however that doesn't fit into the Australian market (on Hondas behalf).

Time to convince honda to drop ALL sport models so we can get them in through engine/performance and magazine publication? =D
Seems easier than convincing them to bring the top end models themselves hahaha

I hardly consider the CRZ being a "sports" car...

but sadly with their lineup, that is the "sportiest" car they have

I meant model as in trim level; we all know that honda doesnt make any sports cars anymore

It'll be difficult to ask Honda to part with the Civic considering its one of their mainstay globally...

Leave the civic. Get rid of the civic sport. As long as it doesnt have a k20 tis all good!
