K swap iacv error, idle hunting and running too lean.

Hey guys just got my k swap going, problems I'm facing so far are:

-k pro saying that the Iacv has a error
I have taken it off 4+ times and have cleaned it with degreaser and also my dremel so it is clean.

    - car on idle runs at 1.5k when cold and when it warns up it starts to surge and the a/f goes up and down.

-a/f on idle is fine at around 14-15 but when touching the accelerator the a/f goes high then back down to 15-20 and surges.

Any suggestions guys or atleast know what's going on?

    Thanks in advanced.

Btw these problems kept me out of Honda nats.

So Tom all these issues will be resolved if I just replace the Iacv?

Test the wiring to the IACV as it could be a bad ground

the IACV will have 3 wires

    1 - Black, Power Ground
    2 - Yellow/Black , Ignition Power 12v
    3 - Black/Red, IACV Signal A12

    - check the black wire for good ground by doing a continuity test, also do a resistance test
    - check Yellow/black for 12v with ignition on with a Multi Meter
    - check the Black/Red wire for continuity to the ECU A12 pin
    - use a test lamp and it should light up when you connect it to black and yellow/black

    - measure the resisance of the IACV while disconected of pin 3 to pin 2, and pin 3 to pin 1

If wiring is OK and resistance is OK then your ECU could be at fault. You can always try another IACV with out testing, if the problem goes away its the IACV, but doing tests will identify the actual fault rather than guess and purchase something you dont need to spend $$ on.
