    Removing a Type S wing..

Hey, does anyone know how to remove a Type S wing from a DC5 ? The part that Im confused with is how to pull the wing off the boot as there is 3M adhesive. Does anyone know a way of removing the wing without pulling off the paint ?

There is no 3M tape. Only a **** ton of clips - I can give you a step by step.

    1. Remove parcel shelf clips, you will need a Phillips head screw driver.
    2. Pry off the tail gate trim
    3. At the back of your tail gate, towards the edges, there will be grommets, one each side about the size of a 10c piece. Pry these off. Now use an 8 (or 10)mm socket to undo the two bolts. DO NOT LOSE THEM INSIDE THE TAILGATE.
    4. Here you will need your girlfriend or someone with smaller hands. Get them proper safety gloves and get them to pinch each boot lip clip so it pops out.
    5. Reassemble everything

    remove bolts first
you can try wd40 to get the adhesive soft or use hair dryer if you dont hav heat gun

use these grommets to fill in hole
